Oat Cosmetics’ aurafirm ingredient makes its mark
The range of actives targets various skin care requirements, including the fast growing area of microbiome protection, as well as hydration, firmness and plumpness, and as a gentle exfoliator.
The company has reported that all of these trends are helping to drive the popularity of the ingredient range, but stresses that it has had particular interest in its application as an active to help microbiome recovery.
Du Nord Skin Care goes for aurafirm
The ingredient range, which has a comprehensive global distribution network, has been included in formulations for a broad range of prominent skin care providers, but in particular, the Du Nord Skin Care range, which includes seven different product SKUs, as well as a range of collections.
Canada-based Du Nord Skin Care is a high end brand that has been developed as natural-based, vegan, cruelty-free and eco-responsible formulations that rely on plant-based ingredients.
Targeted at individuals who want to optimise their skin health and boost vibrancy, aurafirm is included in the brands Maritime Cleanser, Prairie Serum, Boreal Emulstion, Alpine Emulsion, Taiga Cream and Arctic Mask.
The aurafirm range
Aurafirm comes in three different grades: aurafirm P – a concentrated fermented cream, aurafirm N – a mobile liquid with a small amount of suspended sediment and aurafirm S – an aesthetically pleasing clear liquid.
Aurafirm P is described as being ideal for face masks, body masks, emulsions, exfoliators, rinse off products including cleansers and soaps, while aurafirm N is good for all skincare applications including eye care, creams and lotions, shampoo and conditioners, nail care and cuticle care, while aurafirm S is suited to high end toners, essences, gels, boosters, ampoules, serums and lotions.
The aurafirm range is created using a combination of the Oat COM, a colloidal oatmeal containing a stabilised, as well as incorporating a stable lactobacillus strain to help optimise skin health.
