The French salon brand has created a Serenity Hydra Summum Facial in partnership with UK cancer charity, Made for Life Foundation, to offer inclusive treatment to people who are living with cancer and other terminal illnesses.
Guinot noted that the treatment has been specially created for “therapists to confidently provide tailored, safe treatments for all.”
The company noted that it is aiming to “address this gap by equipping therapists with the knowledge and ability to offer gentle, relaxing therapies to all, including those navigating challenging health journeys.”
It said that considering “one in two people will experience cancer in their lifetime, the need for inclusive beauty treatments has never been greater.”
New cancer care course for therapists
The 60-minute treatment will cost £80/€92 and aims to be comforting and revitalising. It offers a gentle, rhythmic touch “to promote deep relaxation” and “create a calming, meditative experience.”
The facial includes skin exfoliation, concentrate, massage, and mask, and an additional 30-minute consultation to tailor the experience to the client’s needs.
To support the launch of the new treatment, Guinot has also introduced the Cancer Care Course, a Habia-endorsed curriculum, that offers therapists training on the new treatment, as well as education on how to work with clients who are in various stages of cancer.
When therapists have completed the two-day training, they will earn the Guinot Oncology Certificate and will be registered with both Made for Life Foundation and the Standards Authority for Touch in Cancer Care (SATCC).
Founder and managing director of Made for Life Foundation Amanda Winwood highlighted the importance of a recognised brand such as Guinot “throwing its doors open to the one in two people who may be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.”
“The feedback from the Guinot team and the customers they have now been able to welcome as a result of attending our SATCC-approved training has been heart warming,” she shared.
