Personal care giant Colgate-Palmolive has developed three active oral care formulas that integrate a cannabinoid, namely cannabidiol (CBD), for antibacterial efficacy and anti-inflammatory action.
Writing in three separate international patents (I, II & III), Colgate-Palmolive said it had created different oral care compositions comprising a cannabinoid, in particular CBD, integrated with an orally acceptable carrier. A Canadian CBD cosmetics, supplements and medical cannabis product company has received an important license from the government of Colombia, where its grow operations are located.
Flora Growth Inc, which is based in Toronto and whose stock is traded on the NASDAQ exchange, reported yesterday that is has received permission from the Colombian government to export as much a 7,900 kg of high THC cannabis flower. Flora Growth has already been growing high CBD industrial hemp crops outdoors in Colombia, but has been preparing for entry into the medical cannabis markets as well.
