Your New Self SL is the owner of Multiestetica.com, an aesthetic portal which strives to be a community leader in medicine and aesthetic surgery providing “everything you need to know about aesthetic treatments”

By teaming up with Estheticon, the merger will see the duo boast over 5 million monthly users, and will spearhead Your New Self SL’s international expansion efforts.

Global growth

Through collaboration and partnership, the Barcelona-based brand will focus on building its presence throughout its key identified markets in Europe and Latin America, including Italy, France, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Columbia, the Czech Republic and Poland.

Currently, Your New Self SL provides information on the availability of doctors and treatments through its forum and experiences. To date, the brand has prioritised its marketing approach in its core markets of Italy and France.

José Luis Ferrer, CEO of Your New Self SL emphasises that the acquisition will also support “accelerating growth in Germany and facilitating entry into markets such as Poland or the Czech Republic”.

Launched to help consumers find their “ideal plastic surgeons, dermatologist or aesthetic procedure”, Etheticon also envisages growing its service capabilities through strengthening its operations. “The joining of Your New Self and Estheticon will allow us to expand the services that we offer our users,” explains Pavel Hilbert, CEO of Estheticon.

Aligning values

The portal currently comprises 40,000 registered centres and doctors. By teaming up, the two companies strive to provide accurate, informed and accessible information to consumers considering aesthetic and dermatological procedures.

Together, Your New Self and Estheticon, plan to demonstrate their joint expertise in an industry area where trust, credibility and expertise are vital and sought-after to achieve safe and effective results.

Through the acquisition, the European brands aim to bring aesthetic medicine and surgery closer to users through communicating real stories. Authenticity through referrals helps to build reach and engagement. To maximise its relationship and reputation with consumers, the online advice provider will highlight this through its key services and offers.

The two companies will focus on growing its substantial collection of doctors’ answers to patients’ questions, which currently sits at more than 5,000 and is supported by its directory of aesthetic centres and doctors.

Understanding the demographics of its audiences is considered key to growing its user base. At present, both Your New Self SL and Estheticon’s typical user base consists of individuals between 30 and 45 years' old, who are mainly female and middle or upper-middle class.

Sought-after treatments

Facial rejuvenation and micropigmentation are two of the most popular treatments on the portal for users seeking cosmetics procedures.

Facial rejuvenation can be applied as a single or series of either surgical or non-surgical cosmetics treatments. Rejuvenation is designed to focus on anti-ageing through reducing the signs of ageing on the skin in specific areas such as the eyelids, cheeks and neck.

Micropigmentation, often considered an innovative cosmetics procedure, provides permanent makeup by complementing a person’s eyebrows, eyes, lips or hairline by placing pigment into the skin’s dermal layer.
