The reshuffle coincides with the appointment of Stefan De Loecker, who was appointed Beiersdorf’s new CEO at the end of 2018 and took up the position on January 1st.
The changes will also see Ralph Gusko, who is responsible for brands, R&D and the Asia Pacific region, leave the company by mutual consent, although he has agreed to stay on in the position, if necessary until the end of 2019.
Gusko as global driver for Beiersdorf
Gusko has been a leading player in the Beiersdorf executive team, helping to shape the company’s direction on a global basis in many areas of the business.
“Ralph Gusko has stood out both as a pillar and a driver of worldwide Beiersdorf business throughout his long and consistently successful career,” said Prof. Reinhard Pöllath, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
“We thank him very much for all his contributions to our company and our brands.”
Combining decades of executive experience
Naseer has held various management positions for Procter & Gamble, and was most recently in the position of global marketing director for skin care based in Singapore.
Meanwhile, Mirt has more than 30 years of executive experience in the international consumer goods industry, taking up a position with Reckitt Benckiser in 2006, where he most recently served as senior vice president for Central and Eastern Europe.
“We welcome Asim Naseer and Ramon A. Mirt and their rich expertise. They will help Beiersdorf further deepen its commitment to international diversity and being closest to markets and consumers,” said Prof. Pöllath.
“The Supervisory Board fully supports the initiative to include R&D and Supply Chain into the top leadership team of the Consumer Business Segment.”
