SEPPC launches sustainable emulsifying polymer
Designed for high technical performance, SEPILIFE NUDE is said to have a high nature content and improved sustainability compared to the company’s SIMUGEL range, and is compatible with biodegradable finished products with a high naturel content.
On top of that, characteristics include high performance and ease of use for formulators, while at the consumer end it also hits on the sensorial element with a pleasant skin feel.
Cold processable
Adding to the enhanced sustainability profile, the ingredient is also liquid, cold preocessable and can be used as the primary emulsifier to stablilise a formulation with in an as much as a 35% oily phase.
The ingredient also hits on a number of crucial tick boxes for formulators, which including complying with ISO 16128 natural origin requirements and OECD requirements for it to be 90 – 100% biodegradable.
On top of that it is also China compliant, giving the ingredient a worldwide appeal that the development team says will help give formulators greater freedom and creativity.
All about multifunctionality
Research and development labs are invariably racing to get new formulations out of the labs and into consumers hands, which is why time-saving multifunctional solutions such as this emulsifier are in big demand.
“SEPILIFE NUDE has been developed in line with SEPPIC's Corporate Social Responsibility policy, to innovate sustainably for formulators,” said Juanshu Shen, the company’s product manager.
“It is a new generation of multifunctional polymer combining sustainability, performance and skin feel, which is difficult to achieve with the natural gums on the market today.”
