Airless systems packaging spotlight: preserving natural formulations

In a move that acknowledges the rising demand for packaging that helps conserve formulas with airless dispensing systems, Lumson, in collaboration with Tata Harper, has been awarded the Prix Formes de Luxe

The prize, which was awarded to the packaging player at the recent Luxe Pack Monaco event, was won by Lumson’s glass bottle: the Airless TAG bottle, designed to conserve Tata Harper's ‘Moisture Molecule Complex’.

Maintaining the stability of formulas

Tata Harper specialises in skin care that features ‘100% natural’ formulation claims. Natural products, which tend to avoid synthetic preservatives, depend on novel solutions to guarantee their stability. Airless packaging offers one such option.

Lumson describes it the winning packaging item as a technology that guarantees maximum formula protection, ‘avoiding the product’s contact with external agents that deteriorate the properties’.

A solution for naturals

Matteo Moretti, CEO of Lumson, comments on the award:

"In the field of dispensing systems, the innovative Lumson Airless System with "pouch", now available in a large range of glass and plastic containers, is already widespread in the world , and is a solution for all customers interested in developing formulations continually more oriented towards natural products and limited use of preservatives.

“We are proud of this recognition, a tangible testimony of competence, know-how and quality, that we export with passion and dedication on a increasingly global scale."

The company notes that this is not the first time its packaging solutions have been recognised at the Luxe Pack industry show devoted to luxury packaging solutions.

Indeed, it has seen collaborations with brands such as Yves Rocher, L’Oreal, Lierac, Southys and more awarded at the Prix Formes de Luxe.
