Eurofragrance announces new chief financial officer

The major fragrance player has named Juan Ramon Lopez Gil, former financial director of the COMSA Group, as its new chief financial officer.

Eurofragrance, headquartered in Barcelona, says the move is a confirmation of its on-going commitment to ‘strengthen its global activity in the financial and legal arenas’.

The new CFO’s mission is to consolidate international relations with third parties and contribute his experience in potential processes to acquire or take over companies,” the company said in a statement.

Moreover, Juan Ramón López Gil will also be responsible for legal advice globally.”

Eurofragrance: a spotlight

Eurofragrance is an international player active in the creation and manufacture of fragrances for perfumery, personal care and home care markets.

It was founded in 1990, and over its 27 years of operation to date, it has established itself as one of the leading players in the global fragrance space.

The company has a local presence in more than 60 countries and sells its products on five continents.

There are affiliates in Turkey, Mexico, Dubai and Singapore.  and production plants in Barcelona, where its main headquarters is located, as well as Mexico City and Singapore. It states that it also has exclusive distribution in the Philippines.

In 2016, the company invoiced 68.8 million euros and currently employs 254 professionals.

Who is the new CFO?

Juan Ramón López Gil has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, and MBA from ESADE and a CEMS Master’s degree from Haute Etudes Commerciales (HEC - Paris), says Eurofragrance.

He boasts particular skills in international management, starting up affiliates and developing markets and alliances, the company says.
