Steven Hanft, president of CONUSBAT, is part of the Cosmetics Consultants Europe (CCE) team behind the conference event.
Hanft gave us an overview of what to expect, and why certain topics are a hot priority for European cosmetics industry members at this time.
What would you say are the highlights from the programme, and why?
CCE experts will present a synopsis on late-breaking topics of the cosmetic industry. Our ‘Open Academy’ means one day of comprehensive information and exchange amongst all stakeholders.
Our event is targeted as continuing education for all professionals in cosmetics and the first session anticipates determining the key needs for further in-depth CCE sponsored events.
What are the key themes for the event, and why are they particularly important at the moment?
CCE’s member companies will provide a wide spectrum, but defined services for the cosmetics, personal care, fine chemicals and borderline industries. These following issues will be reflected in our Open Academy on 16. October at the SEQC in Barcelona:
- Regulatory Affairs - legal compliance with cosmetics and chemicals’ laws, safety assessments, notifications, registrations, etc.
- Regulatory Representation - Responsible Person (RP), REACH Only Representative (OR)
- Research, formulation & technical assistance
- Microbiological, chemical & toxicological testing
- Strategic, global marketing
- GMP auditing & expertise
- Information Technology - tools and support
Why do you think an event like this is important?
In the ‘Tapas capital of the world’, and under one roof, it’s a superb chance to ‘meet & greet’ experts from the cosmetic sector, hear their opinions and interact with attendees. Thus, I suggest for your erudite, well-informed readership…take advantage of this golden opportunity!
CCE’s “Open Academy” is taking place at the Spanish Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SEQC) Barcelona, Spain, on Monday, 16. October 2017. More here.
