Multi Packaging Solutions acquires Paris Art Label Company

The deal, completed just this week, will expand the print services and packaging solutions that MPS offers the cosmetics industry.

Multi Packaging Solutions is a global company with corporate headquarters in the UK and North American headquarters in New York City. MPS serves an array of industries from beverages and confectionery to health care and cosmetics.

The acquisition of Paris Art Label will extend the company’s labeling services particularly in cosmetics and other consumer goods. Commenting on the deal, which closed yesterday, May 1, Marc Shore, CEO of MPS, says in a media release, “we are delighted to welcome the Paris Art team into the MPS family. Both companies share a common vision: to provide innovative products of the highest quality to our customers.”

“Acquiring Paris Art,” he explains, “is a significant step in enhancing our offering to our customers and achieving our strategic goals.”

New addition

A page on the Paris Art Label site inviting inquiries from prospective new cosmetics and fragrance clients includes imagery suggesting that the Coty nail polish brand OPI, the boutique fragrance line Bond No.9,  Estée Lauder Companies’ Clinique Happy In Bloom fragrance line, and R+Co hair care and hair styling products, all use or have used Paris Art Label's package decoration and labeling services.

And the company asserts: “When selling a product designed to make the customer look good, you want to make sure that the packaging looks good too. We have worked with a variety of industry leaders to create unique solutions that have wowed our customers — and theirs.”

It’s the team with these capabilities and track record that have now officially joined MPS. “We are proud of the high quality and innovative label and shrink print packaging we have designed and delivered to leading consumer and cosmetics customers for over 90 years and know that MPS will be an excellent home for our customers and employees,” Ron Tarantino, president and owner of Paris Art Label tells the press.

Going forward

The New York – based company was established in 1925 and has operations in both Patchogue and Ronkonkoma. After 90 some years in business the MPS acquisition isn’t the end of Paris Art Label so much as it is a next chapter. “MPS is committed to investing additional capital to continue to support the operation,” says Tarantino. “Additionally, I am pleased to say that I, and the Paris Art management team, will be staying on with the new entity going forward.”
