With a particular focus on innovation in the packaging field, the new award program will cover all cosmetic and personal care categories across the professional, mass and prestige segments.
The team has put together an ambitious program that includes a total of 13 different categories, the details of which are contained at the dedicated awards website.
A total of 13 award categories
Highlights include categories for sustainability, personal care, skin, hair, nail and color cosmetics in packaging, as well as a dedicated formulation innovation award, an audience award and the Grand Winner.
Enrolment for awards submissions opened up earlier this month and the deadline has recently been extended from April 1st to April 24th, so there is still time to get submissions in.
“CPNA is one of the most awarded shows that recognizes indie beauty brands, which notoriously innovate with their packaging and formulation,” said Eric Z Horn, Trade Show Director, Cosmoprof North America.
“As such, it was a natural evolution to provide a platform to recognize such creativity.”
Winners to be announced July 10th
The award submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges that will include representatives from companies such as Aware Products, Badger Winters, Barney’s, Clemson University, Estee Lauder, Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Hatch Beauty, Mary Kay, Mintel, MSLK, Stylus, ThisThatBeauty and Walsh House.
According to the organizers, the judges will be looking out for submissions that demonstrate a unique combination of distinctive design and user functionality from a wide variety of applicants, including design, branding and PR agencies as well as suppliers and product manufacturers.
The winners of each category will be announced on July 10th, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, during the Cosmoprof North America event.
