As part of this push on digital, the company has brought on board Bernd Preuschoff to act as vice president digital transformation for the company.
"For Schwan Cosmetics, digitisation is a solid factor in our future strategy, as both cosmetics users and our employees evolve in today's digital world. We want to expand our current innovative leadership in the conventional product world into the digital world," says Jörg Karas, CEO of Schwan Cosmetics.
A time of growth
Schawn’s focus on developing its digital profile comes at a time when the Germany-headquartered company has been enjoying steady growth.
In the business year 2015/2016, sales increased by 14.3%, up to 364.3 million Euro, the company states.
A wholly owned subsidiary of the internationally operating family business Schwan-STABILO, the private label producer boasts more than 3,350 employees in 11 production facilities worldwide.
Spotlight on appointment
Bernd Preuschoff joins the company tasked with developing its digital profile to further build on its recent positive performance, according to the brand.
He will control all initiatives concerning digital transformation at Schwan Cosmetics, drawing on his years of experience across various roles, including, most recently, his position as associate partner in IBM’s digital agency, IBM Interactive Experience.
An exciting industry for digital
"The cosmetics industry is a very exciting field which, compared to other industries, is still in the infancy of its digital development and, therefore, offers a lot of room for innovation," says Preuschoff.
"As a market and innovation leader, Schwan Cosmetics is well positioned to take the pioneering role in this sector. We want to move forward quickly in this area with our customers, partners and employees - I look forward to shaping this new path into the future."
