Preparations in full swing for the 50th Cosmoprof Bologna

The jewel in the crown of the Cosmoprof Worldwide portfolio is the Bologna event, and with just over four months to go until the 2017 event opens its doors, the programme is firming up.

The event the 50th anniversary event will take place in the Fair District in Bologna, Italy from 16 – 20 March, and will including the Cosmopack event, held from 16 – 19 March and the Cosmoprof event held from 17 – 20 March.

A window into what the event will highlight for all-important hair care category was given earlier this week in Milan during a two-day conference and exhibition held by the Cosmoprof team called On Hair Milan Edition.

The conference included hair professionals from L’Oreal, ghd, TMT Milano, Kemon & Rock and Tony & Guy who were presenting on the topics of education, trends and latest technologies in this fast-paced and ever-evolving category.

Turning to the 2018 Cosmoprof Bologna event, it is expected to be one of the biggest events to date, reflecting continued momentum in the industry, both in Europe and worldwide.

This year the Cosmoprof team is estimating that it will have around 2,510 exhibitors, with the perfumery and cosmetics, beauty and spa and hair care categories forecast to make up around 75% of the exhibitors, while around 16% will be packaging exhibitors housed under the Cosmopack event.

What is also interesting is the international flavour of those exhibitors, with 52% expected to be from Europe, 12% from the Americas and 32% from the Asia Pacific region – reflecting the highly international dynamics.

What the show floor will look like

The show floor will reflect this international diversity with exhibition areas devoted to finished products, packaging, beauty salon & spa, green nature, hair, perfumery & cosmetics, as well as nailworld, which will highlight the latest in nail care.

On top of the category focused areas for the show, there will also be a host of ‘special areas’, which will include the green village, spot on beauty, the country pavilions and extraordinary gallery.

Indeed, the extraordinary gallery highlights some of the creativity that defines the fast-paced cosmetics industry, highlighting some of the most fashion-forward, stylish and cutting-edge brands that help to define the industry and keep it moving forward.
