Inolex appoints new global head of sales

Independent, global cosmetics ingredient company Inolex has announced the appointment of Arthur (Art) Knox to take on the role of vice president and global head of personal care sales.

According to the company, Knox joins the company following senior leadership roles with Croda International, where he worked for three decades, and joins Inolex with a view to expanding the company’s capacity to respond to customer needs.

In this role, Art will have responsibility for leadership of INOLEX’s global sales team, developing new business opportunities, and creating customized solutions for our client needs,” the company said in a statement.

We are very pleased to have Art join the INOLEX team,” said David Plimpton, President & CEO of INOLEX. “Art comes to INOLEX with a wealth of experience in the personal care industry and a track record of successful global sales leadership.”

PCPC board member, multinational experience

Knox brings to the new role his experience working internationally in the personal care chemicals industry, with Inolex noting that in his previous role as MD of global personal care sales at Croda, he was “responsible for developing a cohesive global sales team that initiated collaborations with key multinational clients”.

Indeed, Knox has particular experience in the Asia region, having spent five years in Singapore, leading Croda’s APAC consumer business. Under his leadership, the company expanded, opening new offices, labs and collaboration centres in China, Singapore, Korea, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Knox also comes to the role with a good grasp of the North American market too, having studied in California and being recently appointed to the Personal Care Products Council’s board of directors as Associate Director.

According to Plimpton, Inolex CEO, the appointment offers confirmation of the company’s sustained focus on the market and meeting customer demand.

Art’s joining is yet another example of our continued commitment to serving our customers and solving the highest value needs in the personal care industry,” he confirmed.
