SEPAWA Congress reveals this year’s programme

The programme of workshops and events set to take place at this year’s SEPAWA Congress has been revealed, with the science-focused trade event for the detergents, cosmetics and perfumery industries set to showcase the latest in innovation.

SEPAWA is one of the largest trade associations in Europe with over 1500 members, and the Congress acts as the key event for the industry group.

The annual conference is set to be held again in Fulda, Germany this year, and having already reached capacity with exhibitor registration, is due to move to a bigger event in the country’s capital of Berlin for 2017.

Hot topics

Anti-pollution, a hot ticket across the beauty industry at the moment, is set to take a key focus at the congress, with a session dedicated to ‘the protection of skin and hair from negative environmental influences' on the first day.

Sasha Lobo, described by the event organisers as a blogger and internet expert, will give a marketing lecture on the impact of the internet on FMGC industries, and sustainability and the environment, along with related legislation, will also be a key congress focus.

Speakers from Euromonitor, P&G and BASF will all be presenting during the two day event, and the event will centre on its Forum for Innovations, where exhibitors will display the latest in research and development.

A rising success

Last year’s event attracted a record high number of delegates from across 49 countries, organisers note, with a strong majority coming from outside of Germany. This year, held 12-14 October, the event is set to be a similarly robust occasion, organisers predict.

As a must-attend congress for the detergents, cosmetics and perfumery industry, a variety of lectures on scientific research and current innovations will be presented at the 'Forum of Innovation',” they note.

We are looking forward to the 63rd SEPAWA Congress 2016 and we promise several new highlights,” Prof. Dr. Klaus-Peter Wittern, 1st Chairman of SEPAWA e.V., has said.
