The briefing focused on the fact that next year Cosmoprof Bologna will be celebrating its 50th anniversary when it opens its doors from the 16th to 20th of March.
The press conference included some of the top names from the Cosmoprof team in Italy and the Italian cosmetics industry, with Roberto Kerkoc, Vice President of Bologna Fiere Group and Enrico Zannini, Director of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna overseeing the proceedings.
Cosmoprof Bologna as the global hub
Although the Cosmoprof portfolio is completely global, thanks to the Cosmoprof North America and Asia editions, it is perhaps the Bologna event that serves as the biggest international hub for the industry.
And this year the organiser wishes to commemorate the 50th year of the event by giving it some additional leverage with new additions to the programme and a few news tools to facilitate business networking.
The most significant addition is the brand new Cosmoprime, and area that will be ope to all visitors to the show floor 16th to 19th of March, which will feature the Extraordinary Gallery, an exclusive area where all the biggest trends from the beauty universe will be on show.
Cosmoprime highlights all the latest beauty innovations
Cosmoprime will also host the International Buyer Lounge, a specific space dedicated to promoting B2B opportunities and discussions for businesses that are selected as part of the International Buyer Programme, which comprises exhibitors from both Cosmoprof and Cosmopack.
On top of that, the area will also include the Cosmoprime Forum, which will feature a programme of workshops and roundtables featuring all the future trends that will affect beauty players.
And finally, a visit to the event should not forget The Perfume Factory, an area that will highlight the processing steps in the production of perfume, taking visitors on a virtual visit of the entire fragrance-making supply chain.
