Third Sustainable Beauty Awards are on track
This year’s entries will be judged by a panel of experts from very different areas of the industry, including science, branding and the media. Indeed, Cosmetics Design is honoured to be a part of the judging panel and will be closely involved in the entire process.
Submissions for the awards are invited a broad selection of categories and are now being accepted by organiser Organic Monitor. This will lead to a shortlist of entries by category to be judged by the panel and then announced at the Paris award ceremony on October 24th.
Award ceremony in Paris on October 24th
Following on from the previous events, the awards ceremony will be hosted at the Paris Marriott Champs-Elysées from 6-7pm, and will be followed by a drinks reception.
The last Sustainable Beauty award was also held Paris in November 2014 and attracted approximately 100 entries, with winners chosen from across six categories.
Those categories included Sustainability Pioneer, Leadership, Packaging, Ingredient, Green Formulation and Sustainability Lifetime Achiever, with winners and runners up in all categories.
The 2014 finalists included...
In 2014 Cruelty International received the prize for Sustainability Pioneer for its global campaign to end testing of cosmetics products and ingredients on animals, which helped achieve legislative change in the EU, China, Brazil and the US.
The Sustainability Lifetime Achiever award went to late Horst Rechelbacher, founder of Aveda and Intelligent Nutrients, who was also one of the first players in the natural and organic beauty category in the U.S.
