Hosted by Cosmetics Design senior editor Simon Pitman, the webinar will comprise of four panellists who will give short presentations about their expertise in the field, followed by a round table discussion highlighting the opportunities and challenges the industry faces in this category today.
In recent years hair care has become one of the most segmented and diverse categories in the industry, with manufacturers rushing to carve up additional consumer spend by creating products that are tailored to consumers’ specific needs.
What are the best solutions out there?
One of the most significant changes to hair as we age is the fact that it starts to thin out. There are a plethora of surgical procedures and approved drug regimes, but likewise, there are an increasing number of cosmetic solutions to help with this problem.
These cosmetics solutions range from conditioners, shampoos and styling products that claim to volumize or thicken thinning hair, to more radical solutions such as weaves and hair extensions.
The forum brings together some of the leading experts in the hair care arena to discuss what trends are driving the hair care market right now, as well as drilling down deeper to discover the very latest solutions for thinning hair, while also looking at the all-important regulatory side to determine what are the limitations on product claims.

The webinar will commence with an overview of the hair care market from Oru Mohiuddin, senior beauty and personal care analyst at Euromonitor International.
The three other panelists are David Salloum PhD, section head for hair care R&D The Proctor and Gamble Company, Jeanine Recckio, Mirror Mirror Imagination Group, beauty futurologist and Angela Diesch, attorney at law, Konick, Moskovitz, Tiedmann & Girard.
Each of these panelists will also give a short introductions to their expertise in the hair care field, before we launch into the panel discussion.
