Cosmetics Compact: L’Oreal, P&G, Boots news, while Beiersdorf and Unilever do ad battle

There was also news in the UK that Unilever had been given a telling off by the Advertising Standards Authority following a complaint from rival Beiersdorf over its advertising for a Sure antiperspirant.

And finally, news of a shake-up at Boots also hit the headlines as the company announced it would be cutting around 700 backroom jobs.
