Lumson moves airless packaging into Australia

Cosmetics packaging specialist Lumson is taking its 'world-first' Airless Bottle Technology to Australia and New Zealand through Sydney cosmetics manufacturer Trulux.

According to the Italian packaging supplier, the APP (Airless Plastic Packaging) and TAG (Techno Airless Glass) systems are the first of their kind as they feature internal pouch systems that prevent air from getting in.

The TAG system features the same airless concept but comes in various designs such as an extra thick base which enhances the look of a product or a cylindrical glass bottle with flush pump and overcap.

The systems are designed, developed, manufactured, and decorated in Italy but can be customized for market preference as the technology can be applied to any kind of bottle design.

"These bottles are tamper-proof and the specially-designed pump ensures that more than 95% of the product will be completely dispensed and highly customisable for unique branding," say Lumson reps.

Partnering up..

For this venture, Lumson partnered up with Trulux, an Australian contract manufacturing company that takes care of product development & formulation, private label manufacturing, filling, packing and packaging for small and medium companies in the cosmetics industry.

According to the company, its service can help industry players to move into new markets by helping with the whole process from concept through to product filling and packing.

"Through our innovative research approach in the latest ingredients and packaging, we have made it easier to provide our partners with the best and latest formulas, which give them the confidence to market their products with a distinctive positive difference," Trulux's website states.

Lumson has two sites in Italy and a total of eight branches worldwide that designs, develops, manufactures and decorates cosmetic packaging with a client portfolio of companies like Oriflame, Nivea and Revlon.
