The annual event that recognises beauty brands efforts on the digital platform has nominated five companies in ten categories for their impressive digital marketing efforts in the last year.
Of the 300 award entries received this time around, judges acknowledged Clarins efforts in not one but two categories - 'Best App' and 'Best e-Commerce Website'.
The brand's ‘My personal Red Line’ app claims to help with the beauty routine by providing a connection to a Clarins Beauty Expert who can provide a personalised consultation and interact with the consumer by message, photo, video and even voice message.
There is also a scanner that can read a product’s bar code for a full description and ingredients list, a weather and UV checker so that sun protection against the weather and environment can be adapted, a store locator feature and updates on exclusive news, launches and product information.
According to Clarins, the app has seen more than 50 000 downloads in France, an over-representation of iPhone downloads - more than 80 per cent and has also been voted as "best in class app" in L2's European Digital IQ Index.
