Smart packaging, senses and luxury, responsible purchasing and 3D printing are just a few of the topics that the conference programme will focus in on next month.
The event, which runs from October 27th to 29th, will include three full days of presentations and round tables that will be focused on the most cutting edge trends that are currently driving the luxury packaging segment in Europe and beyond.
In regards to digital, the opening conference will look at 'smart packaging' and will feature innovations like inbuilt electronic chips, antibacterial film packaging customisation, new surface decors and communication technologies and light design technology.
Presentations to watch out for on Day 1:
The programme will commence on the 27th with a 10:30am round table on smart packaging, which will include a panel of guests put together by packaging publication Emballages Digest.
In the afternoon, a 2pm presentation entitled ‘Because luxury is above all a thing of the sense’ will be given by Muriel Jacquot, scientific director of MYRISSI, who will take a look at what governs the senses when it comes to packaging choices.
Following this a 3pm presentation will include the Guest of Honour, Patrick Jouin, who will discuss why luxury is about sensation, before wrapping up the day with a 4:15pm round table about responsible purchasing and its benefits.

The second day of the show will start with a 9:30am presentation entitled: 'Luxury culture in China: Keys and prospects', followed by an 11am roundtable entitled: Putting a face to products – the interaction between creation and branding.
At 2pm there will be a presentation focusing on the packaging creativity behind the Cartier brand, and how that has helped to give the brand its identity, while at 3pm there will be a presentation by market researcher Euromonitor on the outlook for the global luxury packaging market.
The day will be completed by a 4pm presentation entitled '3D Print for the packaging industry: Assets and stakes', which will be a round table discussion chaired by Frederic Allard, founder of Ze small factory.
Finally, on Day 3 keep an eye out for...
The first presentation of the final day will be a 10am roundtable featuring seven experts who have been brought in to discuss the very latest trends in the industry and the particular innovations that are going to be platformed at the event.
'A new sensory dimension for packaging!' Is the title given to the 11:15am slot, which is another round table to discuss some of the latest technologies and effects that are helping to give a new dimension to packaging.
At 2pm, Pascal Morant of the France regional chamber of commerce will assess the impact of religion on luxury consumption before the programme is wrapped up with 'Digitalizing Luxury Packaging', given by Uché Okonkow, founder of Luxe Corp at 3pm.
