In its third year of existence, the awards have become a major promotional forum for natural and organic skin care products, highlighting the latest trends and the most innovative formulations in this category.
The awards are designed specifically to promote products lines and brands that exclude many of the allergans, chemicals, fragrances, artificial additives and harsh preservatives that are traditionally associated with both health and environmental concerns.
These products are invariably designed for consumers who are environmentally aware, as well as individuals who looking for cosmetic and personal care products that contribute to their well-being , and specifically target problem skin conditions.
This year the entries have been judged by a panel of independent skin care and natural health care experts who have chosen the products according to these criteria.
After the products were narrowed down to an entry shortlist, they all underwent a month of rigorous testing by the panel, to establish the best in each of the twelve categories for the competition.

The shortlist includes more than 100 products that are being tested in the run-up to the show’s opening, with judges making their final decisions based on the products performance days before the show’s opening.
Brands included in the short list are Weleda, Apicare, Therapi, Aurelia, Tropical Skin Care, The Little Goat Soap Company, Jane Iredale, Botanicals, Green People, Adam and Eve Skincare and Shea Mooti.
