Valued at $42 billion in 2012, the Brazilian cosmetics market represents 58% of the Latin American beauty and personal care market and is home to over 2,000 cosmetic, toiletry and fragrance manufacturers.
Cathy Laporte, Exhibition Manager for in-cosmetics, says: “There are few other countries making a bigger splash in the C&T industry at the moment than Brazil, which is why we felt it was so important that our first Country Focus centred around this uniquely fascinating market.”
“With global events such as the World Cup and Olympics taking place in Brazil, the country is only likely to increase its influence on all aspects of consumer thinking. We’re excited to be working with ABIHPEC to bring this vibrant industry to life at in-cosmetics.”
Collaboration
With the event being held in Hamburg Messe on 1-3 April 2014, it will also celebrate the year of collaboration between Germany and Brazil, with a new Country Focus feature that will explore how the South American country has become one of the powerhouse nations in the cosmetics industry.
Supported by ABIHPEC (Brazilian Association of the Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Industry) and sponsored by Beraca, the Brazil Country Focus will include a dedicated programme of events designed to unearth the biggest trends influencing local and international markets.
A Brazil Product Trail will lead visitors to exhibitor stands where original projects, unique ingredients and formulations that draw their inspiration from Brazil will be on display.
Similar to the Asian edition of the event which focused on Korea, there will also be a Brazil pavilion housing first-time exhibitors from the region, along with a Networking Zone with a Brazilian bar.
Mintel Beauty and Personal Care will also be running daily product demonstrations on the Innovation Zone, giving visitors the chance to discover innovative skincare, haircare and colour cosmetics from Brazil.
