People on the move: the latest cosmetic industry appointments
Cosmetics Design presents the latest round-up of movers and shakers in the cosmetics industry this month, including a new CEO and president at Geka and a management reshuffle at Hermann Koch.

New MDs at Koch

Hermann Koch has announced the introduction of two new MDs to its management team as part of a reshuffle designed to help the company preserve and expand its production sites in Germany. Their experience will increase Hermann Koch’s ability to respond quickly and flexibly to customer requests.

Dr Thiemo Hagerdorn has previously worked in a wide range of fields including software, construction and industrial design and is a certified CPA (American Public Accountant) in the US.

Dr Jörg Lux has worked in several different companies and industries in fields of management including international production and logistics. He also brings to the field his experience as managing partner of Busycom mbH.  

The new MDs are described as being part of an initiative to “determine the fate ” ​of Hermann Koch going forward. Amongst other measures, the Coberg site will be preserved and its capabilities will be enhanced.

Geka appoints CEO and president

Leading brush and applicator company Geka has appointed Amaury de Menthière as its new group president and CEO, taking over from Yves Dominioni who will take over the chairman position.

The new CEO will ensure continuity and is also expected to: ”further drive Geka’s growth as a leading brush applicator business in the beauty and health sectors and push Geka’s international expansion.”

De Menthière has a strong portfolio of international experience within the packaging industry, including time in management positions in Crown Cork & Seal and Rexam. He also recently served as the CEO of Alltub.

Cosfibel develops markets with new appointments

Cosmetics packaging company Cosfibel has also announced two new appointments in its executive team. Jerome Lieutenant will be the firm's new director in charge of developing cosmetics, wines and spirits in the UK. Prior to taking on his new post, Lieutenant was MD for Pure Trade's Hong Kong subsidiary.   

Similarly, Eric Tollemer will be the sales director in charge of developing the European company's beauty and beverage markets in the Asian region.
