The three day event starts on June 26th at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition hall, and is billed as the only international B2B event held for the cosmetics industry in Japan.
However, for international companies wanting to get a footing on this giant and innovative market, a visit to the show and a look in on these keynote presentations may prove an invaluable insight into this hard to penetrate market.
Time for change!
The English language segment of the conference programme will run under the title: Time for change! Keys to opening up the future of the Japan Cosmetics Industry.
The segment will include two presentations, one from Yoshinobu Hiramaya focusing on regulation, with the second presentation will be given by marketing expert Tetsuro Yoshimatsu.
Hirayama is councillor for pharmaceutical affairs in the Japanese government’s Ministry of health, and will be expanding on his regulation knowledge base in a presentation entitled: Latest Situation and Future Moves for Cosmetics-related Regulations.
istyle gives insight into marketing in Japan
Tetsuro is president and CEO of istyle inc, a marketing solutions business with a consumer database that focuses on the cosmetics category, and will be giving a presentation running with the title ‘istyle’s Business Development Based on Consumer-orientated Policy.
The conference also includes a comprehensive programme of presentations throughout the 3-days of the event, focusing on formulation, packaging, marketing and technological innovations, that will all be given exclusively in Japanese.
Incorporating both the Cosme Tech show, now in its fourth year, together with the Cosme Tokyo event, now in its second year, organisers Reed Exhibitions Japan are forecasting a 70 per cent increase on exhibitors compared to last year, which means the show is expected to include around 550 companies and in excess of 30,000 visitors.
This year the Cosmetics Design editorial team will also be attending the event, and will be bringing extensive coverage of the conference programme, product launches and the latest trends to appear.
