Last minute preparations before in-cosmetics Paris opens its doors

It is now less than two weeks to go before in-cosmetics Paris opens its doors to what promises to be one of the world’s biggest ingredients events.

The show opens its doors to the three day event on April 16th, and the organisers are promising that it will be the biggest in its history – a claim that will undoubtedly be buoyed by continued industry growth and the fact that it is being held in one of the the biggest and most important industry hubs in the world.

Reflecting this, the full Cosmetics Design editorial team will be attending the event, including a team of three journalists who will be covering every aspect, from the new trends to emerge at the show, to product and technology launches as well as closely monitoring all the highlights included in the more than 80 free seminars.

Cosmetics Design will be filming at the event

The team will also have a camera crew on sight, which will enable them to film extensive coverage of the event, including the highlights of the show stands, the main attractions, the innovation zones and the seminar programmes.

The team is also arranging to carry out video interviews with some of the leading company executives in the ingredients field as well as industry experts, to discover the most significant product and technology launches on the market and the biggest trends to hit the industry.

The event opened up for visitor registration at the beginning of January, and with over 650 exhibitors, an expanded educational and seminar programme, together with a testing and regulation zone, as well as the new H2O trail and fragrance zone, the organizers are expecting to see record visitors numbers through the doors at the Port de Versailles expo centre.

Fragrance zone and H20 trail

The Fragrance zone has been officially sponsored by the Société Francaise des Parfumeurs and will be an open plan area devoted to ingredients companies and service providers from this vital category.

The H2O trail draws on the fact this is the mostly widely used component in any liquid-based cosmetic or personal care formulation, and the trail will highlight how water is used in products ranging from shampoos to deodorants and creams.

Topics that the trail area will tackle will include active substances originating from water, skin and care hydration, water-based functional ingredients and the sustainable development of water in formulations.

Building on the huge success of in-cosmetics 2010

In-cosmetics was last held in Paris in 2010, which coincided with the eruption and ensuing disruption caused by the Volcano eruption in Iceland.

Although many visitors and exhibitors encountered severe challenges in trying to get home, the big draw of Paris and all the many businesses that are headquartered in the capital and the surrounding regions, ensured that the event was the most successful to date.
