Regulatory experts to review global frameworks at in-cosmetics

The session will look at regulations covering products in China, Taiwan, ASEAN, Australia, India, the Americas, the European Union, Russia and South Africa.

The key discussion will be on World Wide Legislation, the similarities and controversies, and will be opened by three presentations on worldwide positions for animal testing, claims and existing harmonization attempts.

China focus​

One presentation will see Dr. Robert Fellous of Intertek tackle cosmetics legislation in China; one of the world’s biggest markets.

Entering the market however, is a difficult task with contradictory information and submission difficulties creating big barriers of entry.

Fellous will provide basics on rules and standards, registration for products and ingredients, as well as trends for cosmetics registration.

Latest regulations​

Elsewhere, Dr. Alain Khaiat, Seers Consulting, will present the Taiwan's Current Cosmetic Regulation and the Future Amendment of the Legislation which includes topics like oral products regulated as cosmetics, ingredient review and product safety, GMP implementation status and more.

Claudia de Lucca Mano, Esq., will focus on Existing Regulation for Cosmetics Products & Ingredients in Brazil & Latam; looking at company licensing, concepts & basic guidelines for cosmetics, ingredients listings, labeling, and sunscreens new regulations in particular.

Also…​

There will also be presentations highlighting key regulatory updates in Russia, Europe and South Africa including changes introduced with the new Cosmetics Regulation and the role of the Responsible Person.

Also, the session would be highlighting a worldwide perspective on animal testing, claims substantiation, test procedures and harmonization attempts followed by a panel discussion on Existing Issues and Future Necessities in the WW Regulatory Environment for Cosmetics.

Three years on, the in-cosmetics show returns to Paris, on the 16 – 18 April 2013, with over 600 exhibitors expected to attend, at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
