Total Processing and Packaging Exhibition readies to open its doors

The biggest packaging event in the UK is readying to open its doors at the NEC exhibition halls in Birmingham, from June 4th to 6th.

The event is geared towards the cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical industries, and is an umbrella for the three events which had had previously been held separately under the names Pakex, PPMA Show and Interphex.

Aslo billed as the most comprehensive event of its kind in the UK, it showcases the latest production line solutions, materials developments and product innovations that are currently available to the industry.

Featuring industry innovation and talent

This year’s event will include show features, including the Ones to Watch feature, which will highlight the most innovative and productive industry professionals under 35, the Manufacturing Forum, which will include a comprehensive debate programme and the Pakex Innovation Hub, which features presentations from industry experts about.

The Ones to Watch will features awards that aim to recognize some of the younger movers and shakers in the industry today, individuals that have been nominated by both exhibitors and attendees of the event, prior to it taking place.

Meanwhile, the organizers are currently drawing up programmes for both the Manufacturing Seminar and the Pakex Innovation Hub, details of which will be published by Cosmetics Design as soon as they are available.

Packaging Design Challenge

Other features will also include the Interphex Theatre, which is specifically designed around the pharmaceutical industry, together with the Packaging Design Challenge.

The Challenge Incorporates all elements of packaging and will be located on the show floor to show the results of the collaboration between leading design houses and packaging manufacturers who have created new ideas and pack formats to solve current packaging challenges.
