IFF has appointed the speciality chemicals trader to exclusively distribute fragrances in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary for selected customers in the Personal Care and Home Care sectors.
The new deal complements the existing agreements between the two companies in Western Europe.
Existing agreement
Azelis and IFF already have a similar agreement in a number of European countries, including France, UK, Spain, Finland and Germany; a deal constructed two years ago.
Customers will be able to access IFF’s fragrances along with marketing and technical support through Azelis, giving clients a competitive advantage, according to IFF.
The fragrance and flavours firm says that Azelis was a good partnership choice as it is well positioned to provide the service IFF customers expect.
New lab
As part of the latest agreement, and to support these new markets, a new Azelis fragrance evaluation laboratory has also been commissioned in Bulgaria.
"Azelis now has an enhanced fragrance applications team located in Spain, Bulgaria and the UK to support our sales teams across Europe,” says Thomas Schlenstedt, Azelis International Principal Manager Fragrances.
“With the new Bulgarian facility close to our new markets, we are well positioned to efficiently answer client briefs and provide the level of service that IFF customers have come to expect in that region.”
The extended agreement will cover the supply of fragrances into Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary for: Personal Wash, Beauty Care and Fine Fragrances, as well as Home Care.
