What happens in Vegas… is Peptan proof for Rousselot

French peptide producer Rousselot presented the latest scientific findings regarding its anti-aging product Peptan proving its efficacy at the SupplySide West trade show.

Taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, the show brings together the suppliers and buyers that drive the dietary supplement, food, beverage, personal care and cosmetic marketplace.

Rousselot was present with its range of nutricosmetic and skin peptides, and unveiled the latest French clinical skin beauty results, documenting how its Peptan F works on the skin structure from the inside, resulting in visible anti-aging effects on the outside.

Peptide efficacy

The new French clinical study was conducted by Bordeaux-based COSderma Laboratory to reconfirm the efficiency of Peptan for skin beauty.

This was done using advanced skin assessment technologies such as laser scanning, to assess in-vivo effects of oral ingestion of fish Peptan collagen peptides versus a placebo on skin properties.

According to Rousselot, the positive results, reconfirmed the anti-aging benefits of Peptan F.

Peptan are type-I collagen peptides and have the same amino-acid content as that found in human bones and skin.

It is a high purity, natural bioactive ingredient containing more than 97 percent protein, with no fat or carbohydrates, and is supplied in a form that is easy to use and digest, as shown by scientific analysis.

Peptan is also Kosher and Halal certified and has earned Generally Regarded as Safe (GRAS) status in the USA.

Facility expansion

The clinical study was not the only Peptan-related news announced at the Vegas event last month.

Due to demand, the French firm provided studies and announced it will open a new Peptan B manufacturing facility.

“Based upon demand for information and demand for increased production, Rousselot provided detailed information on studies and has expanded its global production adding a new state-of-the-art Peptan facility to its plant at Amparo, Brazil,” says a company statement.

This facility will operate alongside the Peptan F (fish) and Peptan P (porcine) manufacturing operations in Angoulême, France.
