MBF Plastiques creates Lancôme and Fendi fragrance packaging components
For its La vie est belle fragrance, which is adorned with an organza ribbon, Lancôme wanted a quality cap with such a weight and aspect that it appears to be made of glass, MBF Plastiques explained.
The company thus produced a cubic-shaped top that is made of Surlyn and has perfectly even faces. To add to its weight, a galvanised chrome-plated zamac plate supplied by Metapack was glued on to it using UV technology.
MBF Plastiques highlighted that it also worked on the bottle closure ‘click’. A polypropylene (PP) ring supplied by Graphocolor was fitted inside the top, the company explained; securely locking the heavy bottle while ensuring it remains unnoticeable.
Fendi’s new Fan di Fendi fragrance
In an operation that marks the first time the company has cooperated with the Italian luxury fashion brand, MBF Plastiques also worked on the accessories for the packaging of Fendi’s Fan di Fendi perfume, a fragrance that is described as ‘magnetic, chic and contemporary’.
MBF Plastiques was entrusted with producing the iconic Fendi logo of two intertwining ‘F’ that adorns the front of the fragrance bottle and which is made from Surlyn. In addition to its complex shape, the component is extremely thick, the company underlined, which presented challenges during the manufacturing process.
In addition to creating the Fendi logo adornment for Fan di Fendi, MBF Plastiques also produced the spray-cap assembly for the fragrance packaging.
According to the company, this consists of the push button and its galvanized casing in satin grey, a peripheral part made from tinted Surlyn and a technical POM part that acts to secure the assembly.
