Haircare ingredients 2012 virtual conference and expo is September 19th

Mark the date in your calendars because it is now less than three weeks until the first ever Cosmetics Design Haircare Ingredients virtual conference and expo kicks off.

Building on the success of the two Cosmetics Design Skincare virtual conferences, the Haircare event will take place on September 19th at 9am EDT, which is 1pm GMT.

The hair care market has shown tremendous resilience during the tough global economic conditions of the past few years and has been driven by continued innovation, mainly off the back of increasingly advanced and functional ingredients.

Highlighting latest trends and innovations

The aim of the Hair Care Ingredients event is to help guide both suppliers and brand owners through the constantly changing trends and innovations that are helping to evolve the industry, and ultimately give consumers the type of hair care products they really want.

The event will comprise a virtual exhibition hall, featuring some of the leading ingredients suppliers in the market, giving the opportunity to network and discover the latest product and technological innovations from exhibiting companies that will include BASF, Inolex, Dow and Rhodia.

The event also features a live conference programme, which includes three keynote webinars and two sponsored events, the first on styling and relaxing technologies from BASF, and the second on vital ingredients by Croda.

Webinars will highlight the latest in hair loss and green trends

The first of the keynote webinars will be presented by Michaela Peck, senior analyst at Datamonitor, who will highlight some of the most important trends and technologies that are on the horizon in the hair care segment right now.

The second webinar will focus on the natural and green trend and will feature Inge Terpstra, the regional R&D director for Unilever, who will explain how green technologies and ingredients are being incorporated into its hair care products.

Rounding up the programme will be a webinar on hair loss and thickening products, a category that has continued to grow in recent years, driven by consumer demand, but equally by increasingly effective ingredients.
