'Urban Brow’ is just one of many recent collaborations between the two companies after HCT recently created a pop up eye-shadow palette and a face powder travel pack for the cosmetics player.
Custom made formulation
According to the packaging supplier, the clear setting gel is inspired by the hairspray on toothbrush trick, “the innovative mini brush evenly distributes the formulation, proving more effective than the traditional spiral brush at grooming brows into shape.”
Meanwhile, director of HCT project management, Samantha Tsang revealed that Urban Decay was very specific about their requirements when it came to the development of this product.
“They wanted a formula that wouldn't stiffen, but would also tame and hold unruly brows in place. They also wanted the applicator to mimic a mini toothbrush which is the best tool to shape eyebrows.”
"The density of the brush head and stiffness of the bristles perfectly compliments the formulation. We also built a custom Nitril wiper to act like fingers around the unique brush shape so that just the right amount of product is left on the brush for perfect application.”
"A soft gel-like texture that dries fast and shapes brow in place without stiffness and with just the right amount of hold. Enriched with Panthenol and Vitamin E to help nourish, repair and condition your brow hair.”
Other cosmetic applications
The packaging provider has also recently manufactured cosmetic components for the brand Too Faced with bronzer brushes and eye shadow compacts.
“Too Faced Cosmetics is a brand that exudes glamour and fun and we believe that this new compact for their new Exotic Colour Intense eyeshadows reflects this," says HCT vice president Nick Gardener.
The company specifically designed the bronzer brush Bronze-Buki, complete with a retractable cap made from lightweight aluminium, and two types of synthetic bristles; "longer crimped bristles which pick up the ideal amount of product and shorter dense bristles that blend evenly."
