Silab opens office in Sao Paulo to serve South American cosmetics market
The Brive-based firm has announced the opening of Silab South America to promote its new platform in the region in a bid to sustain its growth and development strategy.

The new entity will be dedicated to the promotion of Silab's natural cosmetic active ingredients towards all direct customers and to the management of distributors in place throughout the whole South American territory.
Francisco Santin De Souza, formerly Technology & Innovation Manager for the company Cosmotec, will be in charge of running the new structure.
Cosmotec is Silab's exclusive distributor in Brazil (São Paulo), and pharmacist Santin De Souza, has been involved in the Brazilian cosmetic industry for the last 10 years.
Brazil the best base
“As the leader of South American cosmetic markets, Brazil has been naturally chosen by Silab to establish its office,” says a company statement.
“Moreover, SILAB and its distributor Cosmotec have been working closely since the beginning of their business relationship, reinforcing their links for this new step.”
This platform, as well as those which already exists in the US, South Korea and China, is under the responsibility of Jean-Philippe Cosson, Marketing and Sales director.
The skin care formulator has also nominated Brigitte Closs-Gonthier as research & development chief officer and has hired Xavier Gaillard, as strategy chief officer in an attempt to further strengthen its market position.
New communication
This latest development comes only months after Silab launched its new website; revamping its communication tools with a new look, new headings and a regularly updated content.
The new homepage displays the company’s latest product innovations, news about the company, and exhibitions at which it will be present. Direct links also guide visitors towards its training course and job offers.
There are also pages dedicated to Silab’s CSR Charter and careers policy, as well as a ‘reserved area’; a space for communication and direct relations with customers and distributors in which they can obtain additional information on the company’s products, via a privileged access.
