Quadpack to unveil the latest in make-up packaging trends in Paris
For the third year in a row, 'Make up' invites professionals from the formulation and packaging side of the industry as well as marketing, procurement and development areas to gather on the 21st and 22nd of June in Paris to network and showcase the latest in innovation and packaging.
At its stand, Quadpack is to reveal its new 'Well Pump' for nail polish remover and a mock-up of a conceptual LED 'Make-Up Compact', “These products are characteristic of the value that Quadpack adds to the colour cosmetics sector,” says CEO Tim Eaves.
Pumped up
According to the packaging provider, the patented Well Pump designed to be compatible with aggressive nail polish remover formulas, features a disc actuator to enable single-handed usage, dispensing the liquid directly onto a cotton wool pad.
“A one-way valve prevents seep-back by retaining the product in the valve, to prevent contamination. The same valve also allows the product to be used without waste,” explains Eaves.
Made up
The LED Make-Up Compact, according to Quadpack, is a preview of a new concept in colour cosmetics in a trend that uses Light Emitting Diode technology for a pack that is "practical, original and very cool."
As the compact is still on the drawing board stages, the mock-up is to show how it may work while a soft touch button on the cap switches on the LED lighting, to reveal the interior of the compact.
"The compact concept is typical of our R&D efforts to find practical applications for emerging trends. A hidden logo or message can be incorporated, guaranteed to wow consumers, and once opened, the cool white LED provides directional lightning for precise make-up application, without harsh reflection, glare or shadow," concludes Eaves.
