DuPont skin care product gets Natrue certification
Zemea is a biobased ingredient made from corn sugar through fermentation and developed for use in the cosmetics and personal care market as a sustainable alternative to petroleum-based glycols and glycerine.
The Natrue certification joins the company with natural approval from Ecocert and the Natural Products Association, and a 100 percent biobased certification from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
“Consumers are more educated about the ingredients in the personal care products they purchase for themselves and their families. Certification labels provide added confidence to consumers that the product they are purchasing is made from natural ingredients,” commented Rose Durham, marketing manager at DuPont Tate & Lyle.
