Sederma develops ginger extract for ageing legs
Sederma has developed a new active from ginger extract that the company says will alleviate discomfort and premature ageing of the leg.
According to the international company, Legance is a vegetal extract of Zingiber zerumbet obtained by supercritical CO2 developed to address the needs of active women who often engage in walking, sitting, standing, travelling and heat.
The active is said to inhibit the inflammatory phenomena leading to lipid storage and water retention to restore a more dynamic circulation in the legs and relieve the sensation of tiredness.
In vivo studies carried out by a company-appointed phlebologist on volunteers found the extract to improve the appearance of legs and ankles, attenuated spider veins and relaxed legs.
Sederma is set to present the ginger extract at In-Cosmetics in Barcelona this month.
