Doubling up on packaging conferences pays off in Paris
Normally held seperately, the 8th edition of the PCD show and the 6th run-out for the A&D Forum were held together in the new venue at Espace Champerret in Paris.
By combining the two shows, both benefitted from more footfall, and allowed exhibitors to double up on potential clients, which would not have been possible in previous years.
“For us, this works well and has resulted in a very busy show,” said Sofiane Mamei, responsible for marketing and communication at Sleever International.
Chance to meet more people
“We are present in many different markets, so to have a show combining two different categories allows us to see more people,” he told CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com.
The PCD show brings together many of Europe's cosmetic packaging manufacturers from plastic and glass makers to labellers and designers, whilst the A&D Forum showcases the latest dispensing designs in the aerosol market.
“We have been coming here [to PCD] for many years, but this 8th edition has been the best for us,” Oeka Beauty told us. “Each year it seems to get better and better.”
Exhibition and conference
As well as the exhibition hall, both shows boast a two day education program, featuring presentations from product manufacturers such as L'Oreal, Chanel and Estee Lauder, culminating in the Awards ceremony at the end of day two.
The second day also brought together professionals from Europe's top packaging companies to debate and discuss ideas in the morning workshop.
Lead by show organiser Jonathan Ouziel, this year's workshop focused on Triggers and Airless packaging.
