People on the move: cosmetics jobs

Cosmetics Design presents it latest round up of the movers and shakers in the cosmetics industry, including appointments at Bell, LVMH and Unicep Packaging.

Bell Flavors and Fragrances announced new hires at its Northbrook headquarters, in a bid to boost its fragrance business.

Timothy Lauren has been appointed as vice president of US Fragrance Sales, following over 25 years of industry experience in the Flavor and Fragrance industry.

He was joined by Trista Walas who has been welcomed by Bell as the firm’s new Sensory manager. In this position Walas will be conducting sensory and stability testing and panels to enhance Bell’s global fragrance development.

Strengthening US teams

Elsewhere, Dr Anurag Pande has joined ingredients manufacturer Sabinsa’s US team as vice president Scientific Affairs following his stint with Sabinsa's parent company, Sami Labs, where he fulfilled a research role and also as Sabinsa Japan’s Technical manager based in Tokyo, since 2008.

Over in San Francisco, Mark Warner has been appointed as senior vice president of Engineering at renewable oil and bioproducts company Solazyme. In this role he is in responsible for the design and construction of Solazyme’s renewable oil and bioproducts production facilities worldwide.

Warner possesses extensive experience in project development of commercial scale facilities and was responsible for the design and construction of the largest biodiesel production facility in the US.

Unicep Packaging, an Idaho-based contract packaging company, has promoted Kirby Krause to director of Program Management.

“I’m looking forward to building on the Program Management model that has been successfully implemented at Unicep and continuing to focus on exceeding our customer’s expectations,” said Krause, who joined Unicep in 2009 as senior program manager.

European hires

Across the pond, luxury products group LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, has appointed Alexandra Kole as CEO of skin care brand, Ole Henriksen of Denmark.

Kole will be responsible for expanding Ole Henriksen's market presence globally, driving product innovation and continuing to enhance the brand's sales and financial performance.

Staying in Europe, Lipotec has announced the appointment of J M Cabello as the new CEO for the company’s subsidiary for the German, Austrian and Dutch markets, Lipotec GmbH, folowing the move of the office to Frankfurt.

Cabello joined Lipotec GmbH in 2010 as sales manager, and takes over from Wolfgang Schueller, who has been appointed key account co-ordinator for Lipotec.
