PCHi to throw spotlight on the all-important China market

The PCHi event is set to open its doors in Shanghai, China on 27th February, providing a window in on one of the world’s fastest growing and evolving cosmetic and personal care markets.

“In recent years, more and more businesses have begun to recognize the importance of the Chinese cosmetics and toiletries market,” said Daniel Chan, project director, PCHi.

“This has elevated the importance of PCHi, which serves as a gateway into the domestic industry. As a result, PCHI has been growing year-on-year, and we anticipate that the coming edition will have even more attendees than ever.”

To meet the increased market growth and the growing value of the China market, the organisers have significantly expanded this years event, adding a series of new marketing elements and adding to the educational programme in an effort to meet both exhibitor and visitor requirements.

Conference programme is the largest ever

In line with this the conference programme will be the largest to date, featuring an unprecedented number of conference platforms that will include no less than five separate topic areas.

These topic areas will include two separate technology session – the first which will look at colour and as well as skin and hair care developments, while the second will look at new technological developments.

On top of this the conference programme will also include a formulator’s work shops; a marketing trends session that will cover both the green trend and international markets; as well as a comprehensive regulatory summit looking at the framework for the industry in China.

Product Zone highlights new ingredients

The event will also include a product zone, a brand new section lifting the lid on new product innovations for ingredients in colour cosmetics, cosmeceuticals, flavours and fragrances, together with natural extracts.

There will also a be a media networking session giving attendees the opportunity to meet and share information with editors from various international industry publications, including CosmeticsDesign USA.

Finally, the event will be defined by the China Personal Care & Cosmetics Innovation Awards, which will recognize the most outstanding personal care ingredients to have been released on the China market between 2010 – 2011. The award ceremony will take place on the first evening of the three day event.
