BASF's VP is “honoured” to be appointed to RIFM’s Board of Directors

Miguel Peña, the vice president of BASF’s Global Business for Aroma Chemicals which is part of the company’s Nutrition & Health division, has been appointed to the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials Inc (RIFM) board of directors.

I am honoured to serve on RIFM’s Board. The work it does is essential to ensure the safe and sustainable use of ingredients in the Flavour & Fragrance industry”, said Peña.

RIFM generates, evaluates and distributes scientific data on the safety assessment of fragrance raw materials found in personal and household care products.

The company maintains its database is the most comprehensive source worldwide of physical-chemical, toxicological and eco-toxicological data associated with known fragrance and flavor materials.
