Save the date set for the second Beauty From Within Conference!

The second annual Beauty From Within Conference will open its doors again at the Hotel Lutetia in Paris on October 27th, focusing in on the latest opportunities, trends and challenges in nutricosmetics.

The packed conference programme will have a two-pronged focus, with morning presentation geared up to the marketing and branding of nutricomsetics across the globe, while the afternoon session will focus on new product developments and science.

The Beauty From Within 2011 programme features 13 separate presentations, including a welcome and overview by myself Simon Pitman, senior editor for the Cosmetic Design titles, together with Shane Starling, editor of NutraIngredients.com.

Overview and state of the market from Euromonitor

The opening will also include a 30 minute presentation from Euromonitor’s Ewa Hudson, who will give an overview of the market, highlighting global trends, the impact of the recession and also shine some light on what the future may offer.

The conference programme will feature some of the category’s most prominent professionals, people that are helping to shape this still emerging and developing category.

Top speakers will include Marie-Louise Haxthausen, international marketing director for the Imedeen brand, one of the biggest shakers on the European market. Haxthausen will discuss the brand and marketing perspective, she will also point out some of the hurdles and how they can be overcome.

Dr. Marie Bejot, founder of Oenobiol

Dr. Marie Bejot spoke at last year’s conference and was so popular she has been invited back. She is the founder of Oenobiol, a nutricosmetics line developed for women aged 45+.

This year Dr. Bejot will discuss in detail the challenges posed by developing different products for a variety of market positions, and will cover the scientific view and challenges based around beauty foods .

Another big industry name on the speaker list is Michel Donat, director of regulatory affairs at Inneov, one of the other leading nutricosmetics brands on the emerging European market.

The low down of EFSA regulations

Donat will explain about the regulation challenges from the European perspective, giving EFSA updates about accepted and rejected products, as well as shining a light on several areas that have caused confusion, including beauty verses health claims.

Further articles over the course of the next few weeks will explore other key areas of the conference programme, as well as including interviews with event speakers and detailing the latest product launches to hit the market.
