The Ethical BioTrade standard is the tool used to analyse how a Trading Member sources natural ingredients derived from biodiversity. Since its creation, a number of members have been audited against it and experiences of the organisation and its members have highlighted a number of improvements that can be made.
The aim of this revision process is to provide a second public consultation for the association's standard. The standard revision process was first opened in 2009 and the first public consultation resulted in a draft standard that can be found here.
The UEBT says it is inviting comment from all stakeholders working in the bio trade area or those concerned with sustainability issues relating to ingredients.
