Luxe Pack Monaco event will stress sustainability theme

Luxury packaging providers are increasingly tapping into greener and more sustainable manufacturing processes, a trend that will be emphasised at the Luxe Pack Monaco event.

This year the event will be held between the 19th and 21st October at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco and will again feature the Luxe Pack In Green exhibition area, designed for both exhibitors and visitors to share information about the latest development in this area.

The luxury packaging segment is coming under increasing pressure from both the consumer and government legislators worldwide to develop a more environmentally responsible approach to the development of packaging.

In turn this trend has become increasingly important to the future development of all packaging for the luxury segment, a factor that is reflected by the fact that the Luxe Pack even organisers have incorporated several events around this theme.

Luxe Pack in Green exhibition

Underlining this will be the Luxe Pack In Green exhibition space, which the organisors say will be reintroduced again this year following its successful inception last year.

This area of the exhibition hall will be devoted to the unveiling of new products, applications or materials designed to enhance environmental standards, while also complying with specific selection criteria outlined by the event charter and certification programmes.

Green products and innovations being platformed at the event can also be entered for the Luxe Pack in Green Award, which is again being held for the second time, following its successful launch last year.

Luxe Pack in Green Award

A prize will be given for most innovative solution to be submitted to the awards, with the show organisers stressing the fact that prospective entries should incorporate one or more sustainable development criteria, as well as ensuring compliance with the event’s charter.

The prize winner will be chosen by a jury of sustainable development professionals working in various aspects of the industry and the award ceremony will take place on October 19 at 5.30pm in the Innovation Forum space in the building’s main atrium.

This year the event will also again feature a comprehensive conference programme, the Luxe Pack Forum Innovation, the Trends Observer zone and an exhibition space dedicated to the theme of water and chocolate.
