The aim of the new website is to focus on current topics and content, and create a new structure with multimedia elements.
“With the new website we wanted to differentiate between our divisions and make the topics and information clearer for users,” a Symrise spokesperson told CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com.
Increased focus on content and topics
The new website, launched this week, puts an increased focus on corporate content and topics such as sustainability, natural, and consumer insights.
The company hopes users will gain a greater insight into its business and has split the site to enhance its two divisions: Scent & Care and Flavor [sic] & Nutrition.
Each section describes the activities of that division in detail, as well as providing regular news updates from the fragrance, cosmetics and flavors sectors.
CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com was told that Symrise were asked by clients and investors to make information clearer on the website, as well as employees requesting the same from an internal point of view.
The German company also received feedback on the fact there is no German website, and have thus launched its new site in German also.
Added value
“We wanted to provide information in all areas: the divisions and the business. We also see the added value in uploading videos, podcasts and other multimedia content,” the spokesperson continued.
The new site will now offer multimedia content and RSS feeds in order to allow users to stay abreast of latest developments, with a specific ‘News and Media’ section for journalists.
Bernhard Kott, senior vice president of Corporate Communications, said: “Customers, investors and journalists always go to the internet first when looking for information.”
“By revamping the website we wanted to add value for users by providing more up-to-date, relevant information that is clearly structured and packaged in a fresh look that reflects the emotionality and creativity characteristic of our company,” he summarised.
