New professional training course for cosmetics regulation
The course has been designed around the EU Cosmetic Regulation EC1223/2009, which has been causing much consternation amongst industry professionals who are unsure of how their businesses must fulfill the necessary requirements outlined by the ruling.
Compliance has been set for July 2013, which means businesses need to act now in an effort to design a successful game plan to understand the complexities of the regulation, how it affects their businesses and how to implement a strategy to comply with it.
Every company needs a regulations expert
Training specific staff about how to tackle the regulation is essential to successful compliance with the new regulation, and will also help companies to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), the company claims.
Likewise, compliance with the EU Cosmetic Regulation means cosmetics manufacturers are obliged to maintain qualified personnel to ensure that all products conform with safety regulations.
The 2013 deadline marks the moment when companies marketing personal care products in the European Union must ensure that products have been manufactured, tested and stored in compliance with the safety regulations detailed in the documentation for ISO 22716.
Labelling, ingredients and product claims
Entitled ‘Cosmetics Regulations – what you need to know to market a product’, the course is designed to familiarise professionals with issues such as labelling, ingredient selection and claim substantiation.
The course will take the form of a series of presentations, together with delegate interaction, discussion and a series of practical examples.
RSSL Pharma Training has developed its business around professional training for the food and pharmaceutical industries, but says it has now diversified into the cosmetics arena on the back of demands by a number of leading cosmetics manufacturers.
