The product has been designed to protect against accidental dispensing of the product, RPC explained.
“If you twist the head piece, you get the lock position and you cannot press down on the pump,” a spokesperson for the company told CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com.
The aim was to develop an airless dispenser without the need for a cap, the spokesperson added.
For the end consumer the design translates into ease of use, the spokesperson explained: “just turn the head part and it is ready for dispensing”.
Optional decorative collar
Although there is no need for a cap, there is an optional collar which the company said can help manufacturers differentiate their products in the marketplace.
In addition, the containers and dispensers can be decorated using a number of techniques, including hot stamping, metallisation, and silk screen printing.
As with the rest of the Magic airless range, the company claims the Magic Lock dispenses a consistent dose in a hygienic manner.
The Magic Lock containers are made from PP and PET and are available in seven sizes from 30 to 200 ml.
