Estée Lauder completes Smashbox acquisition

Beauty giant Estée Lauder has announced the completion of its Smashbox acquisition, a deal which aims to help the company target a younger audience.

The company recently appointed Beth DiNardo to the position of Smashbox general manager, where she will work closely with the brand’s existing team, including President Budd Taylor and CEO and co-founder Dean Factor.

“We are energized by the promising momentum of Smashbox and believe that the brand will help attract new and younger customers to The Estée Lauder Companies all over the world,” Fabrizio Freda, president and CEO of Estee Lauder said at the time of the announcement.

Financial details were not disclosed.
