Held in Bangkok, Thailand on 2-4 November, the show combines conferences, marketing trends presentations and workshops with a show floor that the organisers predict will host over 200 exhibitors this year.
As the facial care market is particularly strong in the Asia-Pacific region – show organisers reference Datamonitor figures indicating that Asia-Pacific accounts for nearly 40 per cent of the global facial skin care market – a facial beauty conference has been organised this year.
Covering three hot topics in the market, anti ageing, anti acne and skin whitening, the one-day conference will see international speakers sharing the latest research.
Marketing trends presentations will also focus on country trends and regions, including presentations on the opportunities to be found in Muslim markets and marketing opportunities relating to the China ASEAN Free Trade Agreement.
Workshop on European regulations
For Asian companies attempting to move into the European market, there will be a one day workshop on the EU Cosmetics Directive. This will attempt to shed light on regulations that effect companies exporting to Europe and will be led by Jean-Jacques Bourgois from regulatory and consulting services agency Biorius.
Two other training sessions on formulating will also take place.
Last year’s show was held in Singapore and saw 139 exhibitors and over 2000 visitors.
The organisers say this year’s show is shaping up to be more than 50 per cent larger in terms of exhibitors than last year.
“Set in the bustling capital of Thailand, the exhibition is already shaping up to be bigger than last year. The country’s personal care market is very dynamic and the outlook for the next few years is extremely positive,” said exhibition manager at in-cosmetics Asia Sarah Gibson.
